VISITING OUR LOVELY REGION? LOTS TO DO AND WE RECOMMEND THESE BUSINESSES
Yarragon is well known for its wonderful shops and cafes and it is on 8 minutes from our door.
When there you can wander to your hearts content but we so recommend you stop by and visit the lovely Town & Country Gallery owned by Jo & John Wolswinkel. They only have Australian artists and it is just the most wonderful place to visit and shop! They are open 7 days a week.
Whilst you are in Yarragon and if you fancy yourself as a bit of an artist then Tritec Art is just up your alley. Joan and Michelle know everything there is to know about art, brushes, paints, you name it. They are one of the very few art shops left today so why not pay them a visit.
Looking for places to stay then can we suggest you check out the following bed & breakfasts around us
Anderley Bed & Breakfast
Raglan Bed & Breakfast
a bit further a field but both lovely are Glimpses of Gippsland and Brigadoon Cottages
Looking for something to eat (of course you can book in for a lunch here) but we have wonderful chefs in our region so we suggest you try
Stella's Pantry if you love cheeses from all over the world
and every town has a great pub - after all you are in the country now
And not to forget Warragul and Drouin and the lovely shops they have
Gifts and Glamour in Drouin is a delight
String & Salt in Warragul for all your kitchen homewares
And that is just all within 15 minutes from our door.
If you are coming from Melbourne and are the type to get off the beaten track a little (if you are planning to come to us we are 3km off the freeway so we are guessing you are the type) then Cannibal Creek Winery is a must in Tynong with a wonderful restaurant and beautiful wines. A bit further along we suggest a trip into Garfield and Bunyip, two little country towns of old which are sure to delight but make sure you stop and walk and if you wish to stay in that area then we can recommend you investigate Tallawarra in Tonimbuk. And from all of these, we are just 30 minutes down the road, in country speak that is just a hop, skip and a jump!
When you come to visit we can tell you about all sorts of other places as well from gardening to cars, goats and walks and we know all the artists who are open and are happy to welcome you as well.
