Diary
With the opening jitters well under our belt now it has just been down to hard work as we progress through the stages of growth.
We are really pleased we now have quite a few regular visitors and those of you who have asked to be kept informed about the duffle coats - they will be here in February in larger sizes and some wonderful colour combinations such as pink/grey, cherry/charcoal, green/blue, chocolate/cream, black/purple and those of you on our mailing list will be notified when they have arrived. If you would like to join our mailing list, please e-mail us and give us your details.
The alpacas are looking very round at the moment as their fleece is well and truly ready for shearing and our shed will be up in time for our shearing day on November 22nd. If you can get up early you are more than welcome to join us, we start at 7.30am!
Pregnancies are progressing well so we are hopeful that early next year we will have nine crias running around keeping their mums and us very busy.
We had planned to open our cafe for coffee and cake this Spring but various things have held us up especially the downturn in the economy however we are hopeful we will be open prior to Christmas.
Our olives are arriving in October so plantings will start with great gusto which will help to make our entrance a lot more noticeable to those passing by.
Melbourne Cup is just around the corner and we are going to be open all 4 days over the cup weekend so why not come and visit us as we have lots of gift giving ideas for Christmas with clothing and also in the Angelique's Country Garden body product range.
We had some sad news this week as Cadbury, our lovely Standard Labradoodle had to be put down after suffering from a twisted stomach so Jackson and I are very sad this week as we miss our mate very much indeed. We are planning a "Cadbury Garden" in our new garden when we build our house next year.
we have also planned a great event as part of the Palate of Passions festival next March.
"A taste of Alpaca"! Sunday March 22nd 2009
We are having a bbq featuring the beautiful alpaca meat (not one of our animals!)
wineries
fashion parade
music
and generally lots of fun
Adults $35 Children $28
send us an e-mail if you would like to receive more information in the new year as the date draws closer.
So if you haven't come and visited us yet then jump in your car or get a tour group together and come and see us, we have the alpacas but Nickelby At Darnum is so much more.
We are so close to many lovely B&B's, wineries and restaurants that a visit to Nickelby is the first step in visiting a beautiful region that many still haven't discovered.
