Babies, babies and more babies!!!
Gracie and Miam both gave birth on St Patrick's Day to beautiful girls; Elizabeth and Jane (from Pride and Prejudice of course!) See our diary page for the lastest images.
Both were born 3 weeks early and Jane is still quite tiny on day 3, doesn't even come up to my knees and has been bottle fed every 4 hours (including 3am!) but we are hopeful that she will manage the feeding from mum soon. Mum still has milk because Elizabeth has been drinking from both until now!
Our final tally for babies this year has been 5. We have Elizabeth, Jane, Charlotte, Phoebe and Henry.
currently between now and July 4 we are offering the opportunity to come and have a cuddle with one of the babies (or more) and see how they are taught to halter train and get their toe nails cut etc. Jane's big sister Ana may even let the kids lead her around the paddock if she is in a good mood - no promises. Nickelby At Darnum is the home to Nickelby Alpacas, Angelique's Country Garden Natural Body Products, Angela Betheras Photography and very soon, Nickelby Olives.
We are open to the public Wednesday - Sunday 10am - 5pm, and public holidays.
Closed Christmas Day. We welcome coaches and groups by appointment and can cater for morning and afternoon teas and lunches.
Not only can you come and experience and learn about alpacas (bring your camera) but you can purchase the magnificent clothing and homewear accessories that are produced by their lovely soft fleece. Warmer than sheep wool with no prickle factor and no pilling the jumpers, coats, hats, throw rugs are just sensational.
Angelique's Country Garden Natural Body Products are made at Nickelby and we have natural ball soaps such as Gardener's, Nourish Me, Rosemary Lavender Orange & pink clay to name a couple. These come individually or beautifully boxed in wooden boxes made specifically for Angelique's. To compliment the soaps we have wonderful hand creams, body whips and body butters. We can also have a pamper pack delivered to your B&B in West Gippsland if you give us 24hours notice. (see packages page) |

The Pamper Parties are also proving popular for a girls night out. You can either come to us or we can come to you. Great for fund raising for schools etc and we give a hamper valued at $75.00 to the host or group so this could also be raffled off at the end of the night .
Nickelby At Darnum is also the home of Angela Betheras Photography so in our shop we have a large, ever changing selection of fine art photography of various subjects which are for sale as framed or unframed images.
Nickelby At Darnum is certainly worth a visit when you are next in West Gippsland & Gippsland Gourmet Country or if you are heading further down the line to East Gippsland. |
